Medicinal cannabis is an incredibly effective tool for veterans challenged with managing the symptoms of their physical and emotional wounds. In honor of Veterans Day, Bryan Buckley a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient, will share his story, discuss the health benefits of cannabis for those injured in service, and introduce the Helmand Valley Growers Company, a cannabis brand designed to benefit veterans.

Bryan Buckley served as a Special Operations Team Commander with the Marine Raiders. He has led multiple teams in Operation Enduring Freedom-Trans Sahara (Africa), Southeast Asia, and Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan (Helmand Province), as well as deployed twice to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Helmand Valley Growers Company was founded by 3 United States Special Operations Veterans (Marine Raiders) to provide education, support, and cannabis products specifically suited for veterans. As a service-disabled veteran-owned business, HVGC is intimately aware of the daily challenges that their fellow veteran brothers and sisters face as a result of their time spent on the battlefield. Some of these wounds are not visible to the naked eye.

Veteran communities have been adversely affected by the opioid epidemic that has claimed countless lives in our country. Upon return to the United States from the military over half will become dependent/addicted. This has caused far too many vets to lose their way, and in an ever-increasing pandemic, take their own lives. The Helmand Valley Growers Company is committed to ending this epidemic and providing holistic tools to veterans who desire relief.
