About
So you’ve started your practice. Now the challenge is how to take it to the next level.

Whether that means taking on staff to service more clients or growing fees by increasing the range and complexity of services you offer, we speak with a practice owner who has overcome growing pains to learn the secrets of their success.

We cover:

- Planning for growth - make sure you’re clear about your goals and strategy
- How to recruit the best team
- Outsourcing - is it a solution to sustainable growth?
- Tech - is it growing with you and can it scale?
- Acquisitions - get more clients by buying a practice or block of fees

Hear from our expert on growing and scaling a practice, Sarah Wynne from Wynne & Co, who’ll be joined by Chris Downing from Sage and AccountingWEB’s Jake Smith.

*Please note that Robert Newman was unable to join our webinar due to an unforeseen technical issue. We will share an article here shortly with his expertise and experiences.

Sarah Wynne FMAAT FCA BFP
Managing Director, Wynne & Co
Sarah founded Wynne & Co in January 2013. She wanted to create a workplace where clients and the team were very well looked after. She had a one year old son and was very aware of the challenges of balancing life and work. Her aim was to create a business with health, wellbeing and happiness at its heart which gained further momentum after a life changing CKD diagnosis in 2019 and an ADHD diagnosis this in 2024. Her passion is to develop a fully equitable firm (the equality definition not the financial one).

As the managing director, Sarah drives the firm’s growth and development. On the technical side she looks after the firm's biggest or most challenging clients. She excels in tax planning, business development and advising, and fulfils finance director roles for some of her bigger clients. Her passion is to take on a strategic role, looking at how her clients’ companies can grow and increase their profit margins. She uses her ADHD creative brain to play to her strengths. She recently won Finance Awards Wales Accountant of the Year in 2024.

Sarah is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and enjoys helping the team progress with their careers, gaining the qualifications they need to get to the next level.

Outside of work, she spends lots of time with friends and with her husband Mike and their son Jamie. They love camping, the outdoors, and gigs.
