Deputy Chief James Ryan has been at the forefront of media relations development and law enforcement communications for the past 20 years. In his years of experience, he has handled hundreds of critical incidents and worked with departments to effectively communicate their messages. His experience has led him to speak nationally on crisis management and effective communication. He has been recognized as one of the top public information officers in New Jersey. He instructs on media, image management, and crisis communication response and strategy. A graduate of the FBI National Academy, he holds a Master’s Degree and is an adjunct professor at Middlesex County College.
