A coaching philosophy will underpin everything you do as a coach; from where you set your north star, to how you create goals with your team and individual athletes, to how you design your practices, how you create and maintain your environment, and how you connect and communicate with your athletes.
Developing a coaching philosophy is not a one-and-done, neither can it be borrowed from someone else, created by AI, or Googled. A coaching philosophy is based on your own values, beliefs, and perceptions and is impacted by your own experiences as an athlete. It needs to be consistently reviewed and refined as your own perspective and the coaching profession evolve.
Whether you are not yet coaching, new to coaching, or an experienced coach, this webinar will help all of you to:
• Understand and affirm why a coaching philosophy is important.
• Consider your own value system and explore how it is foundational to your coaching philosophy.
• Create, reflect on, or revise your own coaching philosophy to ensure consistency with your strongly held values.
