Jay is a New Zealand native but has lived in The Netherlands for over 20 years, together with his wife, Aynur and their 13-year-old son Tané. In his spare time, he enjoys reading (mostly non-fiction), as well as writing, music, study, traveling, food, and consuming black coffee in quirky cafes. Running has been a constant in his life for the past 15 years, and he’s recently included swimming and cycling into the mix. Throughout his career, Jay has experience in the fields of global travel and retail, marketing technology, payments, finance, and cyber security. As VP Travel & Mobility at Nuvei, Jay currently leads the EMEA Travel and Mobility sales team and is responsible for driving growth for the company across these ever-evolving verticals.

Al is a seasoned payments technology leader with decades of experience in global eCommerce solutions. Throughout his career, Al spent 9 years working for WorldPay in various commercial roles as well for US Merchant Systems and Humboldt Merchant Services. As VP Travel & Mobility at Nuvei, Al is responsible for growing the North American business across these two key verticals. His goal is to help organizations optimize their payment strategy and leverage it as a strength to accelerate their business. He has a post graduate degree in Management in International Payments Ecosystem from Middlesex University. Al lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Carrie and two dogs Ewok & Kylo. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, watching sports, attending concerts and is an avid snowboarder.

Esther Groen

Esther is Head of Payment Consultancy at Icon Solutions, a UK scale up offering paytech solutions to accelerate digital transformation. Esther has a background in Banking, Payments & Fintech, worked for approximately 10 years in global transaction services at ABN Amro & RBS/Natwest in different roles from Sales to Management. She was partner at Innopay, a Dutch strategy consultancy firm in digital transactions, and chaired expert groups for ShoppingTomorrow, a platform for retailers and ecommerce.

Next to her current role at Icon, Esther is also Secretary to the Board of Holland Fintech - the digital finance community in the Netherlands and Executive Board Member at EWPN, a European network of women and young professionals active in Finance, Payments and Fintech. She is passionate about how the financial industry and fintech can play a key role in making finance more inclusive so people, businesses and societies can become more resilient to change. As such she is a strong advocate in promoting the value of DEI (diversity & inclusion) in improving business performance and accelerating digital transformation across the industry.
