She has special interest in fetal medicine and is experienced in diagnosis and follow up of fetal anomalies and fetal growth restriction.

Her other areas of expertise and special includes painless labour, handling complicated pregnancies and recurrent pregnancy loss. She is also trained in fetal invasive procedures and genetic counselling.

Dr. Shobana completed her MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College. She went on to pursue her DNB (Pediatrics) from GKNM Hospital, Coimbatore. She holds a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Neonatology from Dr. MGR Medical University, Women’s Center. She is certified in neonatal resuscitation program and pediatric advanced life support.
