    Lucy Pierce
    Project Coordinator SPC, GreenBlue
    Lucy Pierce recently joined the GreenBlue team as a Sustainable Packaging Coalition Project Associate with a background in sustainability and a passion for compostable packaging and labeling. Prior to GreenBlue, she was the Assistant Director of Sustainability at The Evergreen State College where she led campus sustainability initiatives, carbon neutral and zero waste goals, sustainability reporting, and community engagement. Her background includes expertise in bioplastics, carbon offsets, low-carbon energy technologies, and higher education sustainability reporting. Lucy holds a Master of Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College and a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability Studies and Cultural Anthropology from Otterbein University.

    Doug Mazzeffa
    Global Sustainability Director, Sherwin Williams
    Doug Mazeffa is the Global Sustainability Director for the Sherwin-Williams Company and a leading expert in Life Cycle Assessment, corporate sustainability, and green chemistry. Doug’s sustainability work was recognized by the coatings industry where he was presented with the 2016 Industry Achievement Award from the American Coatings Association. Additionally, he was presented the 2019 corporate marketing award for his work on product sustainability from The Americas Group within Sherwin-Williams. He is also a highly sought-after speaker including lecturing at over a dozen Universities as well as presenting at numerous national conferences, webinars, radio shows, and television programs. Doug has been cited as a sustainability expert in dozens of major media outlets such as BBC, CNN, and USA Today. Doug acquired his Master's Degree in Corporate Environmental Management from the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management and completed his undergraduate work in Environmental Science and Economics at Miami University. Doug is also a lecturer in the MBA program at Baldwin-Wallace University. Finally, Doug sits on numerous advisory committees including those in the American Coatings Association, Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, and the US Green Building Council. A former All-American and national chess champion, Doug presently resides in Cleveland, OH with his wife and two children.
