Anethia Powell is Native to Atlanta, GA, where she lived and grew up in the city of Decatur. She graduated from Decatur High School with a 3.8 GPA and later attended Alabama A&M, then Clark Atlanta. She graduated from Shorter College in Rome, GA with a BS Degree in Business and later pursued her MBA with the University of Phoenix with a concentration in Global Management. Anethia worked as a Product Analyst for several years in the corporate sector, making millions of dollars for the company. She was later laid off in 2007 and decided to never allow someone else to decide her fate.

She started helping seniors with their Medicare and did very well financially. She soon discovered that most of the seniors she helped were from all backgrounds, industries and ethnicities and would retire in poverty. Anethia has helped countless individuals and businesses by introducing retirement income strategies and the cornerstones to building wealth. Her ability to connect with people and help them from where they are to where they want to be financially has been her most rewarding accolade.

She prides herself in helping the underserved and underprivileged members in her community about money and how to make it work for them. She has seen the term financial literacy defined in several ways; however, Anethia knows all too well that wealth is the key to ensuring economic and retirement income stability and it is what enables families to build a better future.
Webinar hosting presenter Ali Moghaddam
Medicare Specialist
Ali Moghaddam was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to Atlanta Georgia when he was ten months old. On the first day of his college career his Father died after a short battle with cancer. Having seen the devastating effects of a Family losing the household breadwinner and a widowed mother having to care for her three boys by herself, Ali felt a personal calling to one day have a career in the Insurance Industry. Ali earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Georgia State University and later earned his Masters of Business Administration in 2002 from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. After completing his Masters of Business Administration he decided to pursue his calling and entered the Insurance and Financial Services industry as an Agent and Financial Advisor. Ali holds several licenses and industry designations of specialties.

In 2002, Ali entered the Insurance and Financial Services industry and decided early on that he would specialize in Medicare. Ali realized that the general public has a very high level of anxiety and confusion when approaching the age of 65 years old by what will be the most important Healthcare decision. Ali made it his professional calling to help navigate Seniors approaching 65 years old through the complexities of the Medicare planning process. Since 2002, Ali has conducted thousands of educational workshops focused on Medicare planning in Georgia and throughout the United States. Ali Moghaddam became the President of GA Medicare 101 Corp in 2015. GA Medicare 101 Corp is a Non-Profit organization who is headquartered in Atlanta Georgia but has offices throughout Georgia. Both Ali and GA Medicare 101 Corp has helped thousands and thousands of Georgians become “Medicare Gurus.” Through the educational workshop seniors are able to understand holistically what Medicare covers and what Medicare excludes in relations to Healthcare costs, then most importantly what options are available. Ali strongly believes that when Seniors attend GA Medicare 101 workshops they understand what choices are available to them, what choice will be best for their individual needs, and most importantly what is the impact of making the wrong Medicare decision when the Senior turns 65 years old.

Ali and his wife Maryam live in East Cobb and have been married for over 18 years. They have two beautiful boys Nicholas and Nathan and a love-able Mini-Golden-Doodle puppy named Tyson. Ali sits on several volunteer boards throughout the community. Ali has a passion for coaching Youth sports including Football and basketball and is the Walton Youth Football Head Football Coach for the 3rd grade Team. Being a lifelong native of Atlanta, Ali is a die-hard Atlanta sports team fanatic. He actively plays in a Men’s adult basketball league and his other hobbies include traveling with his family around the world and attending music festivals and concerts.
