Introduction to Amadeus for Developers APIs

This session will give developers all the tools they need to connect to Amadeus for Developers Self-Service APIs and build a killer travel app.

After a brief intro to Amadeus for Developers, we'll explain how to connect to our APIs, covering authorization, our SDKs and the steps needed to call our APIs.

Once we know how to connect, we'll take a look at our Self-Service API catalog. We'll go through our four categories (air, hotel, destination content, and trip), explain the product and highlight some especially useful APIs like the flight booking or Artificial Intelligence APIs.

After covering the catalog, we'll explain the theme of our challenge: using technology to improve travel for the post-COVID world. We will also go over the judging criteria that will be used to select the winners of our challenge.

The session will end with a Q&A session.

Amadeus for Developers is an open API platform where you can connect to the data and functionalities that power the top names in travel. We offer rich travel content to help your users through their entire journey, from inspiration and search to flight and hotel booking and things to see and do in the destination.

Travel is one of the world's biggest industries, accounting for over 10% of global GDP. However, the global COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on the industry, creating new challenges for both travelers and businesses. To rebuilt a better, stronger travel industry, innovation solutions are needed.

The challenge is to create a solution that improves the experience of both travelers and businesses in the post-COVID world. There are many pressing questions facing the industry:

- How to rebuild traveler confidence and encourage people to continue exploring the world?
- How to assure a safe and healthy experience throughout the journey?
- How to expand the definition of travel to include new destinations, experiences or activities?
- How to help travel operators optimize their businesses for the 'new normal'?

And that's just the beginning! You'll have to use technology, creativity and Amadeus Self-Service APIs to create a solution that helps make travel better in the post-pandemic age.
