This introductory session to the workshop series will provide an overview of the PIPA access process including:
• Determining obligations to respond, including a review of exceptions; and custody and control;
• Calculating and managing timelines;
• The duty to assist and conducting and documenting an adequate search;
• Fees;
• Managing large and difficult requests; and
• File management.
