About
JWST’s images have captivated us since they first went public last summer, their colours and unprecedented detail have set a new standard for images from space. Yet how are such instant classics created by a telescope that doesn’t detect visible light?

We will tour some of JWST’s most stunning images to date, such as the Carina Nebula and the Pillars of Creation, to find out how black-and-white infrared data from space is converted into the visible spectrum, and we’ll hear how that’s achieved while staying true to the scientific perspective.

In the second part of the Masterclass there is a Q&A with Joe DePasquale and Editor Chris Bramley.

All registrants will have access to the Masterclass recording once the event has ended and will be able to watch this recording for a maximum of 10 times.
