Tina Aswani Omprakash is a Crohn’s patient and award-winning patient expert and health advocate based out of New York City. She has had Crohn’s for 14 years and has had numerous surgeries. Tina maintains a blog and advocacy platform called Own Your Crohn’s (http://ownyourcrohns.com), Facebook/Twitter/Instagram: @ownyourcrohns. Her overarching aim is to normalize the rhetoric around chronic illnesses and disabilities in order to help patients own their ailments to live fuller, happier lives.

Adam Hayden

Brain cancer

Adam Hayden is a philosopher, writer, and speaker, living with brain cancer. Adam is an AACR scientist-survivor program participant, a Stanford University Med X ePatient scholar and speaker, and he is an ePatient ambassador and speaker with the End Well Symposium. Lately he’s given talks at The Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics at Indiana University Health, The Indiana University School of Medicine Center for Bioethics, The Saint Louis University Center for Bioethics, and the Indiana University School of Medicine Palliative Care Fellowship program.

Molly Schreiber

Type 1 diabetes & rheumatoid arthritis

Bio: Molly has been living with Type 1 Diabetes since 1989 and Rheumatoid Arthritis since 2012. She shares her journey with multiple autoimmune diseases through writing and social media. In her advocacy, it is important to Molly to be open and show both the positive and negative impacts of her illnesses on her day-to-day life. Molly lives in Baltimore, MD with her husband, son and daughter. In addition to her advocacy work, she works full-time for a pediatric hospital.

Jen Horonjeff

Founder & CEO, Savvy Cooperative

Jen Horonjeff, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Savvy Cooperative, and is an autoimmune disease patient and brain tumor survivor. Jen was named one of the 50 Most Daring Entrepreneurs of 2018 by Entrepreneur Magazine, alongside Elon Musk, Chance the Rapper and Reese Witherspoon. Jen deeply committed to human-centered design in healthcare, and has firsthand knowledge as both a patient and professional; she is a chronic illness patient, health outcomes researcher, human factors engineer and FDA advisor.
