Set aside 38 minutes to revise some of the underpinning psychological theory that explains student interest, engagement and ongoing participation. This session is aimed at VET learning environments so analysis will encompass the characteristics of adult learners. Interest, motivation and reward theory are examined as factors to influence student participation, and hints and tips are offered for ways to sustain student momentum throughout a course of learning.
