Keen to learn sushi at home? The class is planned for kids to make sushi, with a helping hand from their parents. I'll be leading you through the steps to make delicious Sushi at Home. There'll be a chance for questions and some chat I hope.

Sushi at Home for kids will run for one hour (or thereabouts) and be a chance to prepare fresh sushi, in time for you to enjoy for lunch.

Here is a simple list of #essentials and some #nicetohaves. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to buy, source, order-in, scavenge what you can so that we can make sushi! I'm hopeful some of you will have a few ingredients already in your kitchen cupboard. If not, #donotpanic I'll be suggesting alternatives where I can.

No raw fish or wasabi required.

Sushi rice
Nori (seaweed paper)
Rolling mat
Rice vinegar

Groceries:
A jar of Sesame seeds (black and/or white)
1 x Cucumber
1 x tin of sweetcorn
1 x tin of tuna
1 x pack smoked salmon or mackerel
1 x carrot
Sugar
Salt
Sushi ginger
Soy sauce

Non-essentials (but do it in style):
Sushi at Home (my book)
Sushi a Casa Mia (my book in Italian)
Sushi at Home Tea Towel
A paper fan (or hairdryer or electric fan)
Wooden sushi bowl (for mixing & cooling the rice)
Chopsticks (clean fingers are fine too)
