About
Sometimes tragedy strikes with no explanation. How do you usually respond in the midst of grief and trials?

On July 18, 1998, John and Bonnie Nystrom heard the tragic news that a tsunami completely destroyed the village where they worked. Though they grieved the losses, John and Bonnie knew that this wasn’t the end of the story God was writing for the translation project.

John and Bonnie currently serve as translation advisors for the Aitape West cluster project in Papua New Guinea and serve on Wycliffe USA’s board of directors. In the recorded webinar they will help you think about your own theology of suffering.

Explore Wycliffe Live is a free, one-hour online event designed for you to hear from Wycliffe missionaries serving around the world. You’ll get to hear about a variety of topics ranging from Bible translation to internship opportunities to trauma healing and so much more! We hope you’ll join the conversation!
