Wolfram Language provides flexible and highly customizable functionality for the creation of videos. This webinar demonstrates a multiparadigm data science workflow that can be used to create animated videos of the Martian surface, using publicly available images shared by NASA. NASA's API portal provides links to images taken by the various Mars rovers. However, these links need to be parsed and sorted before you can import the actual images from various rover missions in chronological order. The images can then be used, with the help of frame interpolation, to create videos of the Martian surface from the perspective of the rover navigating the terrain. The workflow also explores the potential of using machine learning and computer vision functionality with these images to allow a rover to avoid obstacles in its path.
