Continuous Improvement - The New Normal

We have all delivered (in the Public and Private sector) unprecedented levels of change to tackle the COVID crisis. Many things have been changed and technologies proved that would previously have taken years to implement.

This has got many leaders asking the question of 'why does it need to take years to test and implement new capabilities?'

This is a question I have pondered for many years and I genuinely believe it does not need to take so long and so much effort. In fact, when it does take longer to deliver improvement you are introducing more waste into the process.

With the ever-changing times ahead I strongly believe that continuous improvement or change of processes is the new normal. The rules we are operating within will constantly change with minimal notice. We need to be able to rapidly iterate our processes in a high-quality way.
