About the Speaker

Urologist with Advanced Urology Institute

Dr. Matt Sorensen was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida. He attended The University of Florida and graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery training at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Dr. Sorensen has comprehensive training in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including the use of advanced laparoscopic procedures and the da Vinci robot for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and various other urologic conditions. Further training includes male and female urinary dysfunction, kidney stone disease, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer, and men’s health.
