About
Often, supervised visits are ordered to ensure that a child is not abused while in contact with a parent. While visiting with a parent while in placement can foster a stronger bond and more positive interactions, it can also provide opportunity for abusive acts that are not understood or observed by the supervisor. This training provides information about the way abusers and their victims interact to improve the supervision of visits, if not challenge the idea that any visit can be supervised.
