Getting a Job By Building Relationships

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
"Networking" is something we all know is important to our careers but most of us neglect. Even people who do make an effort to meet new people in their industry often don't realize that accumulating stacks of other people's business cards isn't the end goal.

We think the word "networking" has come to represent an activity that is impersonal, transactional, and mostly unhelpful for those who participate in it. We believe that thinking about meeting new people in a professional setting as an exercise in building relationships rather than simply "networking" can help you accomplish your goals and transform your career.

In this class we'll be exploring how the traditional networking mindset fails us, why taking the approach of building relationships is a better way to go about upgrading your network, and how it can lead to a new job, oftentimes better than anything you'll find on a job board, even if you weren't looking for a job.
