Introduction to the Theory of Constraints: Operations & Production
About
This session introduces the core concepts of the Theory of Constraints and provides the foundation for the entire series. Participants will learn how the performance of any system is ultimately determined by its constraint and how the Five Focusing Steps provide a structured approach for improving results.
We will also introduce the three fundamental questions that guide TOC thinking and help organizations focus their improvement efforts where they will have the greatest impact. By understanding these principles, participants will begin to see why many improvement initiatives fail—and how a focused approach can drive meaningful change.
This session is ideal for those new to the Theory of Constraints and looking to understand the basic logic behind the methodology before exploring its applications in operations, projects, supply chains, and beyond.
This is the second session in the series.
