We are proud to announce the sixth edition of our annual event, The Lumsden Leadership Summit, a unique platform that encourages and inspires the student body and wider community by exposing them to successful women from across all sectors of business and society.
Today we invite you to join our main conference, where we have invited interesting, successful and prominent women from different professions to share their work, achievements, and insights. These women represent all that we are seeking to promote and inspire in the next generation of leaders. Milena Alberti-Perez
As Chief Financial Officer at Getty Images, Milena Alberti-Perez is responsible for the company’s Global Finance, Enterprise Reporting & Analytics, Tax, and Investor Relations functions.
Milena joined Getty Images in 2021 with over 20 years of experience in media and finance, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of independent advertising technology company MediaMath. Beginning her career in banking with Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley, Milena spent 16 years at Penguin Random House in both finance and publishing roles, including serving as Chief Financial Officer. She also advised Random House in the merger of Penguin and Random House, the largest transaction in book publishing history.
Milena holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. A native Spanish speaker with significant international and board experience, she lives in New York City with her husband and three children.

    Zoe Bayliss Wong:
With a decade of e-commerce and fashion retail experience behind her, Zoe is a finance and operations specialist within high-growth businesses. She is currently a director and early employee at Depop, the cult Gen-Z ‘social shopping’ app, with over 20 million users – most of them under 25. During her time at Depop, the company has grown over 12X, raised over $80 million in funding and been ranked as Britain’s 11th fastest-growing private tech company, which landed Zoe a place on the Forbes ’30 under 30’ list in 2018.
Zoe was previously an award-winning style blogger and presenter, working for publications such as ELLE and Yahoo! Style, reporting from events like London Fashion Week and Coachella. A former fast-fashion fan, she recently created the Good Buy Collective, a conscious consumer community that promotes the realistic middle ground somewhere between zero-waste and mindless consumption.
Having worked with several FTSE100 companies, Zoe now sits on the board of Everywoman – an organisation that champions the advancement of women in business to close the gender pay gap. Her mission at Depop is to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and prove that commercial business can also be a force for good.

    Anya Hindmarch
Anya Hindmarch was founded in London in 1987 and has since grown into a global brand. Anya was the first accessories designer to hold on-schedule London Fashion Week shows that were renowned for their creativity. Modern craftsmanship, a touch of humour and personalization sit at the heart of everything the brand does. As well as mainline collections the brand has a unique Bespoke collection where each piece is - as Anya says - about ‘having your name on something, rather than mine’. The brand shows an ongoing commitment to the circularity of materials with the I Am A Plastic Bag campaign, a collection made from an innovative new fabric created from recycled plastic bottles, and the more recent Waste Not Want Not collections.
A passionate advocate of British design and arts, Anya is also a Non-Executive Director of the British Fashion Council and an Emeritus trustee of both the Royal Academy of Arts and the Design Museum. In 2017 Anya Hindmarch was awarded a CBE in recognition for her contribution to the British fashion industry and has received several notable industry awards including a British Fashion Award.

    Lia Neal:
Lia Neal, the daughter of a Chinese-American mother and African-American father, is the first woman of Black descent to swim an Olympic final for the United States as she helped win a Bronze for Team USA in the 4x100 freestyle relay 2012. She also won a Silver medal as part of the US 2016 team.
Her journey as a swimmer started in Brooklyn, NY driving up to 45 minutes into the city every day with her mom too, and from Asphalt Green, home of the only Olympic-sized pool in New York City. She has since graduated from Stanford University and was the school's 2016-2017 team captain that led her team to its first NCAA Championship win in 19 years. Neal is excited to continue as a role model for children interested in health, sports, swimming, and beating the odds.
Lia understands the challenges kids will face to achieve their dreams but believes in giving back to the community to help ameliorate some of those challenges and sharing her story of resilience to inspire others.

    Carina Tyrell
Dr. Carina Tyrrell is a British-Swiss public health physician and a research scientist fellow at Cambridge University. Carina recently featured on the front page of The Times – talking about her work leading on COVID-19 antibody detection, COVID-19 management in intensive care, and identifying COVID-19 vaccine and therapeutic trials with Oxford University. Carina has worked with local and national government and international organizations such as the World Health Organization, where she authored international policy documents and published work on emerging respiratory viruses.
