Over the past thirty years, organisations that trade between the UK and the EU have become accustomed to the free movement of goods. This may be about to end on the 31st December 2020.

As we approach the end of the UK’s transition period, it is becoming increasingly likely that new border checks and regulations will be imposed on goods moving between the UK and the EU. The responsibility lies with the importer or exporter to ensure that their goods are correctly identified and notified to HMRC. Failure to do so can lead to substantial fines and/or custodial sentences. For those who haven’t been involved in customs processes before, this can be a daunting prospect.

This webinar delivered by Kevin Robinson is designed to inform and guide importers and exporters who have not had to consider customs process before. Topics covered include:

    Kevin is an experienced transport and logistics professional with 30 years’ experience of logistics and Supply chain operations at locations around the world, covering a wide range of cargo types and transport modes.

    A chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), Kevin’s operational experience spans deep-sea and short-sea shipping, air-freight, rail movements, road haulage and warehousing. He has worked in supply chain functions for manufacturers, traders and Logistics Service Providers, around the world.

    As a qualified teacher and lecturer, Kevin has been involved in the authoring and delivery of logistics and supply chain qualifications for UK Colleges and Universities, industry bodies, National Governments, the United Nations, multinational manufacturing organisations and providers of transport and logistics services.

    He is the Academic Course Director for Lloyd’s on-line Certificate and Diploma courses in Logistics Management, an External Verifier for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a Lead Auditor in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
