    Shrimathi Nirmala Sitharaman
    Hon’ble Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India
    Nirmala Sitharaman (born 18 August 1959) is an Indian politician serving as the current Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of India. She is a member of the Rajya Sabha, upper house of the Indian Parliament, since 2014. Sitharaman formerly served as the Defence Minister of India, thereby becoming India's second female Defence Minister and also the second female Finance Minister after Indira Gandhi and first full-time female Finance Minister. She has served as the Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs under the Ministry of Finance and the Minister for Commerce and Industry with independent charge. Prior to that, she served as a national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

    Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi

    Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi got his B.Tech in Electronics from IIT Madras in 1980, and his M.S. and Ph.D is Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, in 1982 and 1985 respectively. After working at AT&T Bell Laboratories for a couple of years, he joined the faculty of IIT Madras, his alma mater, in 1986. He took over as Director, IIT Madras in September 2011.

Prior to Habitat, Anoop served as portfolio director at Gray Matters Capital, an impact investment firm. He has over two decades of diverse experience across corporate and development sectors.

    Additional Solicitor General
    Shri. N. Venkataraman (Senior Advocate), was a noted jurist in Taxation and Commercial law and one of the most sought-after counsels, prior to his appointment as the Additional Solicitor General (ASG) of India in the Supreme Court. He is one of the youngest advocates to be designated as a ‘Senior Advocate’ in the year 2006 at an early age of 39. With an unblemished career of more than 31 years of professional practice before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, 23 High Courts including the chartered High Courts of Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta, and Madras, and the principal and circuit benches of the High Courts of the other states, Shri. Venkataraman’s sphere of expertise and knowledge spans over Indirect taxes, Direct taxes, International 3 Taxation, Constitutional law, Regulatory laws including TRAI, Competition law, Gas and Electricity matters. His proficiency in Public law received accolades in the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the Sabarimala case wherein the Constitution Bench was pleased to refer the case to a Bench of 9 judges. Mr. Venkataraman also frequently addresses law students of the most prestigious law schools in India on various issues concerning the nation, nationality, ethos, values, and legal issues connected to it.
