WEBINAR ENDED
How does a script transform into a Hollywood blockbuster? This taster lecture explores the language of the camera and teaches you how to use different shots to compose scenes. You will have the opportunity to create your own storyboard and develop knowledge of shot sizes, composition and visual story telling.
This session will break down the key stages of all film production from inspiration to finished product.

• Script Development
We will show the basic elements of a screenplay and why they exist in that form
• Breaking Down the Script
The script is then broken down for the purposes of budgeting/casting/shooting
• Visualizing the Script
The director and cinematographer will storyboard and create their shot lists
• The Crew
Who does what? Why does it take so many people to make a film?
• The Shoot
What happens on a set?
• In the Can
The edit and all the things you can do in post-production
• The Film!

We will be using an existing film for which we have all the stages as outlined above so we will be able to reveal the mechanics of the process from script to screen.
