Marie from Stile

Science Curriculum Writer (BcS, Dip Lang)

Marie is a science communicator, with a background in presenting and program development. She has a passion working with young people and educators in various fields. Previously, Marie worked in school incursion program development and delivery for the Marine Mammal Foundation, as a learning facilitator for Scienceworks (Museums Victoria) and a mediator for Science Gallery Melbourne. Marie works in content at Stile, creating lessons, quizzes and other resources to assist teachers in the classroom and inspire students with a passion for science.

Alex from Stile

Head of Professional Learning (BSc, GradDipTchg(Primary))

Alex studied a Bachelor of Science before gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary) and commencing her teaching career in New Zealand’s intermediate school system. She taught students in years 7 and 8 across all curriculum areas, with a particular passion for science and developing metacognitive thinking in students. Completing the Science Teaching Leadership Programme, facilitated by The Royal Society, was a career highlight that allowed Alex to work alongside scientists in the field and to study science-specific pedagogies.
