How All of Us Participants Shape the Program

Since April 2018, the All of Us Research Program has included participant representatives in the program's governance. Today. the program includes more than 40 participant partners serving on the Steering Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Advisory Panel and as Participant Ambassadors. Meet an All of Us Research Scholar

Atiya Shahid

“I saw firsthand the effects of the disparities, racial oppression, educational needs, cultural biases, and so much more. I wanted to do something to make an impact. The field of public health was holistic and covered sociology, psychology, and health disparities, along with many other factors.”

Atiya was first introduced to the All of Us dataset in 2021 through the predecessor to the All of Us Research Scholar Program. She won second place that year and has continued her success with All of Us, including joining the All of Us HBCU tour with Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) and Tuskegee University, taking part in the All of Us Researchers Academy, and receiving the All of Us Institutional Champion Award.
