Doug Planey
Principal at North Junior High
After 12 years in the classroom, he spent the next several years as an assistant principal in the Lake Highlands Learning Community. In 2013, he was offered the opportunity to lead Liberty Junior High as principal. After students and staff achieved great success at Liberty Junior High, he joined the Teaching and Learning Department as Math Director. His goal is to be a servant leader and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the entire Pearce Learning Community.

Katie Mottram
Principal at Westwood Junior High Math, Science, and Leadership Magnet
She began her teaching career in Richardson ISD at Lake Highlands High School where she was also an instructional specialist for three years. In 2014, Ms. Mottram began working as an Assistant Principal at J.J Pearce High School and then at Highland Park High School until her return to Richardson ISD in 2020. While at Southern Methodist University, she studied French and Psychology and received her Master’s in Education and in Administration at the University of North Texas. Ms. Mottram is proud to serve the diverse community at Westwood and to be leading in a district as exceptional as Richardson ISD.
