David Ryan is a Co-Founder and CFO of Sapphire Phoenix. His executive leadership is focused on fostering a culture that serves a mission of delivering a truly differentiated client experience that is setting new standards for the upper echelon of white glove service.

Mr. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He has been in the financial planning and wealth management industry since 2008. He also pursued a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management in St. Louis from 2010-2012.

Mr. Ryan holds the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor, CMFC® designation and has experience in portfolio analysis and the tenets of Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) with asset allocation and risk structures. As a Fiduciary Financial Planner, he knows the importance of a well-rounded plan that has allocations across a broad series of Investment and Insurance products.

David has taken all the Financial Planning Board of Standards courses to sit for the Certified Financial Planner designation and will be taking the CFP® exam soon. Mr. Ryan is also eligible to pursue the CPA® and CFA® designations and will look to add those credentials as he builds the Sapphire Phoenix Group. He lives in Missouri with his wife Elizabeth Ryan, DVM. They are avid outdoors people and are raising their three children in a faith-based family and love the country life on their Farm south of St. Louis.
