Matt is Associate Director at Nexus Planning with 15 years’ experience. He has a unique insight into the planning profession, having previously worked for two NW local authorities and a developer, before moving to the consultancy sector. He graduated with a Distinction in the Master of Civic Design at the University of Liverpool in 2007 and became a Chartered Member of the RTPI in 2011. Matt joined the RTPI NW Regional Activities Committee in 2021 and is Junior Vice Chair for 2022.
Grace Manning-Marsh
Head of LandEnhance, Land Tech
Grace studied Town and Country Planning at Manchester university and has over 12 years experience as a planning consultant, securing permission for residential and mixed use developments; along with experience in regeneration strategies, community engagement and EIAs. Having a strong interest in how technology could improve planning she moved into PlanTech 5 years ago. Working at LandTech to develop products that speed up and modernise access to planning and property information. The platform uses Machine Learning to aggregate, analyse and enable deep searching of Planning Applications and Policy Documents, to provide relevant arguments and statistics needed to make stronger planning justifications. LandEnhance is the second product in the LandInsight suite of products, making a more open and accessible land market.

Danny Crump
Director of Urbanism, Broadway Malyan
Danny is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 20 years of professional experience.
He is a passionate placemaker establishing and leading Broadway Malyan’s ’Place Team’ providing value driven advocacy within the built environment for multi-sectoral clients.
His experience is wide ranging and has included City core regeneration and urban realm masterplanning, city street and space design and public squares and parks.
Danny’s experience of working in urban centres was recognised in 2020 with his appointed to MHCLG’s High Street Task Force Expert/Mentor and Facilitator Panel.
He is experienced in site diagnosis techniques with a focus on urban data analytics, using this skill to inform the design process.
Greg Woodford
Digital Planning Lead, London Borough of Lambeth
Greg is a town planning with over 20 years’ experience within Australia and the United Kingdom. He has worked for private consultancies, and State and local governments in a range of development management, policy, regeneration and management roles. He is currently the Digital Planning Lead at the London Borough of Lambeth, and part of a wider multi-Council partnership developing a range of digital planning tools that aim to modernise, automate and simplify the planning process in England.
