The Melan Network is a hub of digital workshops curated by Gumbo Media that gives space to creatives and professionals of color to lead their own digital offerings to an eager community seeking ways to hone a craft, pick up new skills, or make progress on their next innovative idea during this time of social distancing.

Amidst broadscale institutional and economic shifts, we’ve been seeking ways to innovate and pivot experiential learning online. Many have hosted events and made their services digital, but we felt there was a gap, specifically for creatives and professionals of color: a hub where we support and nurture each other gifts and goals from all directions. A community space where we can express, educate and learn, and ultimately contribute to the circular Black and Brown economy.
