Sandfire (ASX: SFR) returns to the RRS podium in the midst of a global expansion that will see it become a multi-asset copper producer with a diversified growth pipeline in Australia, Africa and North America over the next few years.

Underpinned by consistent, low-cost production at its DeGrussa Operation in Western Australia, Sandfire’s debt-free balance sheet and strong cash position will see it develop a new long-term growth platform in Botswana at its Tshukudu Project while also progressing its high-grade Black Butte copper project in the USA.

Tshukudu is set to be a key focus in the coming weeks with an Optimised Feasibility Study on the T3 development project due in Q4 2020, together with a maiden Resource on the A4 satellite discovery, underpinning an emerging production hub concept within the world-class Kalahari Copper Belt.

In relatively short order, Anglo Australian Resources (ASX: AAR) has transformed a gold project which sat dormant in its portfolio for 13 years, the Mandilla Gold Project, into one of the hottest new gold discoveries on the ASX.

Located just 70km south of Kalgoorlie, Mandilla has been delivering a host of outstanding drilling results, including eye-catching numbers like 45m at 4.25g/t, 93m at 3.11g/t and 94m at 1.17g/t, from drilling targeting a large syenite-hosted gold deposit.

Under the leadership of the former Egan Street Resources team, Anglo is widely expected to post a maiden Resource for Mandilla by the end of the year. And with over $12 million in the bank, drilling will continue at pace into next year, putting Mandilla on the radar of many of the large gold companies operating in this Tier-1 district.

A newcomer to the RRS podium, Essential Metals (ASX: ESS) has a diversified portfolio of gold, nickel, lithium and caesium projects in WA’s premier mineral provinces. After discovering the Sinclair caesium deposit in 2016, Essential developed and operated a highly successful small-scale mining operation, generating a $10 million operating surplus which it has reinvested in exploration.

Following a capital consolidation and name change earlier this year, Essential is about to embark on high-impact gold exploration designed to test a series of exciting targets at its Juglah Dome Project, located just 55km from Kalgoorlie.

The Company also owns a significant and strategically located lithium resource at Pioneer Dome, the historical Blair nickel sulphide mine, and has a series of free-carried joint ventures with some of the biggest names in the gold space including Northern Star, Black Cat Syndicate and Novo Resources.

PolarX is exploring the Alaska Range copper-gold project. This includes the Zackly Main deposit, which has a JORC Resource of 213,000oz of gold, 41,000t of copper and 1.5Moz of silver. Recent drilling has focused on the adjacent Zackly East prospect, where mineralisation has already been outlined over 900m of strike and remains open in all directions.

Drilling now underway aims to extend the length of known mineralisation at Zackly East to 1.2km. At the time of writing, assays from this drilling were pending. A recent ultra-high-resolution magnetic survey also showed that the key mineralised structures at Zackly East extend well beyond the known mineralisation.

PolarX also believes there is significant potential for copper-gold porphyry at depth.
