About
Though it leads the PV module market in 2025, tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) cell technology faces increasing competition from back contact and other high efficiency cell designs. In this pv magazine webinar, we take a closer look at JinkoSolar’s advanced metallization processes, module design features, and other innovations that ensure TOPCon will remain the most competitive module technology on the market.

Analysts expect TOPCon products to represent more than 70% of the market in 2025, thanks to the technology’s high efficiency and low production costs. JinkoSolar is the largest of several manufacturers focusing on this technology, and says it has spent the first half of 2025 working to refine its ‘TigerNeo 3.0’ approach, with which it has achieved cell efficiencies beyond the 27% mark, and expects to have modules rated at 670 W in production by the end of the year.

In this pv magazine Webinar, we look in detail at some of the features JinkoSolar has employed in this latest generation of TOPCon modules, including improved corrosion resistance and optimized bifacial design.

Shayne Li, product manager at JinkoSolar, will share insight into these innovations, alongside outdoor testing results and real-world performance that demonstrate improvements over Jinko’s earlier TOPCon cells, and an energy yield advantage over competing technologies. Industry professionals, consultants and investors will see the lower levelized cost of electricity, and potential economic benefits that come with this module.
