About
Solar is producing more power than ever—but not always when it matters most. While midday generation often exceeds demand, evening hours bring higher electricity prices and rising demand. The challenge? Capturing those high-value hours to maximize plant revenue.

By improving low-irradiance performance, bifacial modules produce more power during mornings, evenings, and cloudy days. These hours often coincide with higher market electricity prices, which means bifaciality and low-irradiance performance not only increases energy yield but also boosts revenue potential. In low-irradiance scenarios, the rear-side of solar module can proportionally play a bigger role, as diffuse light makes up a higher share of total available irradiance. With cell technologies like TOPCon, which already perform better under low light thanks to unique cell architecture, combining bifaciality further stabilizes output curves across the day.

In this pv magazine Webinar, Rocky Li, product manager at Trinasolar, will introduce the latest Vertex modules with TOPCon technology in an effort to show how this cell design can boost energy yield and increase revenue in low-irradiance conditions.

He will also explain how bifacial PV systems operate in the course of the day and why generating power during high-price hours makes a difference when it comes to a project’s profitability.

pv magazine Webinar content:
- Why generating during high-price hours is key to profitability
- How TOPCon design boosts energy yield in low-irradiance conditions
- Results from empirical testing: TOPCon vs. back-conatct technologies
- Insights into Trinasolar’s full-scenario Vertex product lineup

We encourage you to take part in the discussion and ask questions, which can be submitted beforehand or through a chat window during the webinar. This webinar will be moderated by Emiliano Bellini, news director at pv magazine.

Registration for this pv magazine Webinar is free of charge.
