About
At any stage in a PV project’s development, the sheer amount of data available on every aspect can seem overwhelming. However, making good use of detailed information on factors like land and site conditions, historical and recent weather data, system configuration and performance, can bring real advantage. In this pv magazine Webinar, we see how RatedPower puts all of this data at the user’s fingertips from the very beginning.

Solar projects today are built on data. From the initial process of choosing and evaluating a site, gigabytes of data are employed in forecasting the energy yield potential and spotting potential challenges or opportunities early on.

And as the process moves forward, the amount of data involved only grows, adding performance details of different components and system configurations, business models and maintenance strategies. Keeping this data in order and available on short notice is key to all of it.

In this pv magazine Webinar, we take a closer look at RatedPower's software that promises to integrate data from various sources, and allow stakeholders to find the best design strategy for a given project. Making use of data in this way, to optimize the entire end-to-end design and engineering process, can help save both and time and money in the long run, as we’ll see in a case study from real life PV projects in the Nordic regions.

First, we’ll provide background on PV markets and project specific concerns in the Nordic countries, with Ghada Alafranji, senior account executive for the Nordics at RatedPower. And then, we dive into the software with RatedPower’s technical advisor Julian Scheer, who will take us through some of the key features, including a live demonstration of the software.

The demonstration of the software will include the perspectives from Ulrich Bussemas, power technology manager at Denmark-based project developer NRGi. Ulrichwill share the company’s case study and his experience designing projects and simulating different operating conditions using data from different sources, integrated into RatedPower’s package.
