The solar sector is seeing growth across all areas, and facade-mounted solar PV systems are seeing growth as larger modules, falling prices, and higher-efficiencies boost outcomes and see rapid returns on investment.
Facade-mounted solar PV systems also offer a number of advantages for owners and developers, including adding application areas to existing buildings with varying structures, and more.
In addition, facade-mounted solar PV systems can be installed on buildings with both large faces with useful orientation, along with rooftop systems, such as commercial buildings, or limited rooftop space. Finally, through innovation in the area, installation costs are falling as the industry finds new easier options for mounting PV systems.
In this pv magazine Webinar, with initiative partner K2 Systems, we’ll get to know building kits and components K2 offers, and learn the differences compared to rooftop installations of PV systems. Matthias Rentschler, chief technology officer at K2 Systems, will present a live demonstration of demo components/system, provide details about the application fields and assembly options, as well as the market perspective, streaming new products from K2’s headquarters.
In addition, Ronald Laude, civil engineer and team lead engineering from K2 system will explain the Eurocode specifications on facade installations – plus a closer look on wind loads at facades.
Further details on anti-slip devices, safety levels, and fire protection options will also be discussed, making the session suitable for both installers, distributors, EPCs, and solar module manufacturers.
