About
The increasing penetration and integration of renewables into the grid is seeing flow-on effects due to reduced inertia in the grid and challenges for stability. Solar and battery inverters at the utility level now must provide more assistance and functionality to help enhance grid reliability and stability to maintain synchronous operation. Grid-forming inverters are now at the forefront of the solar industry’s efforts to support the grid and TSOs, and providing elements like fast-frequency response and black start functionality are becoming more important.

In this pv magazine Webinar, we will discover the issues facing the grid-forming inverters industry and hear extensive details about advanced inverter functionalities and solutions. Information from a recently published Gamesa Electric White Paper will also be presented to understand more about company’s grid-forming central inverters and plant controllers for PV and Storage applications.

Ana Rodriguez, Converter control section team leader at Gamesa Electric, will present details of state of the art solar and storage inverters and advanced grid functionalities, including FFR and black-start.

In addition, Enrique de la Cruz, Solar & storage sales director at Gamesa Electric, will provide insights into the company’s activities, products and sales efforts with its Proteus and Orchestra product range.

A Q&A session and discussion will follow the presentations, where we will answer your questions about the latest in inverters for utility-scale projects.
