About
Markets worldwide are seeing an increasing demand for residential solar PV and storage. For residential customers, inverters and batteries make for a good pairing: the boost to self-consumption afforded by the addition of storage to solar increases efficiency and guarantees a higher ROI. But what about installers? This pairing adds complexity to the installation process, and a laborious time-consuming process stands in the way of meeting market demands.

FIMER’s new “Power” platform - the PowerUNO single-phase hybrid inverter, the PowerTRIO three-phase hybrid inverter, and the PowerX residential battery – has been designed to help installers meet these demands. In this pv magazine Spotlight, Florian Chan, Managing Director Residential Line of Business at FIMER, will introduce the three new products and explain how they make for the quickest and easiest-to-install solutions on the market.

The PowerUNO and PowerTRIO inverters offer a wide range of power choices from 2 to 8.5 kW. They feature an efficiency of 99.2% and 98.2%, respectively, and an MTTP efficiency of 99.9% and 98.9%. With external plug & play connections, installers can put their screw drivers away - there is no need to open the front cover.

The platform also offers a range of flexibility. The PowerX residential battery is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) device available in three different versions with a storage capacity of 9.6, 12.8, and 16 kWh, respectively. With the possibility to add multiple batteries, up to 5 coupled modules, its capacity can be expanded at any time. The tool-free click-and-connect system also allows for a one-person installation process. Those with an eye for Italian design will appreciate the curved front cover and the choice between 5 different colours.
