About This Webinar
Join the PSHE Association and Young Money in conversation with two secondary school teachers who have embedded financial education successfully within their teaching and learning.

We’ll discuss why they decided to develop their financial education provision, the various ways that they integrated it across different year groups and subject areas and its impact on their students.

This 45 minute session will be introduced by Jonathan Baggaley, Chief Executive of the PSHE Association and facilitated by Russell Winnard, Director of Programmes and Services at Young Money

Russell Winnard
Director of Programmes and Services at Young Money
Russell began his career as an accountant within the Lloyds insurance market, before moving into education.  His time teaching highlighted the need for all young people to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes beyond the traditional academic learning and prompted the decision to join the charitable sector supporting schools to address this. Russell now oversees all of Young Money's programmes and services.

Cat O'Gara
Stockport School, Director of Equality and Opportunity
Cat started her teaching career in 2005, working within the Mathematics Department, before becoming Head of Department. She has a passion for teaching financial literacy across the department, and integrating it into the schemes of work, both in maths and across the school. Eighteen months ago, Cat took on a new role in school which saw her redesigning the PSHE curriculum. Through this, she was able to create lessons on a rotation for year 9 and 10 on financial literacy, so it now acts as a standalone lesson. Cat has a passion for giving the students the tools they need to equip themselves for their lives after school.

Zoe Redmill
The Romsey School, Financial Maths Lead
Zoe is a qualified accountant and chartered tax advisor, she started her career with PwC before spending ten years as a partner working in audit, accountancy and tax at a local accountancy practice. She retrained in 2018 as a maths teacher and currently leads on financial maths at The Romsey School, a successful comprehensive in Hampshire.
