About
Cancer in all shapes and sizes has a debilitating impact not only on the people who have it, but also on their families, friends, and businesses.

In this webinar, Torsten Koehler, a testicular cancer survivor, will be our guest speaker.

In his thirties, Torsten Koehler, founded Love Your Nuts (LYN), a registered Section 18A, non-profit testicular cancer awareness campaign based in South Africa.

The motivation to start this foundation was inspired by a former student who thanked him for making him aware during his awareness sessions at the school they attended: “Because you made us aware I went to the doctor in time. I’ve got testicular cancer too. I’m 16 and you saved my life”.

Testicular cancer can occur at any age, including in adolescents and older men.

Torsten will increase our awareness of testicular cancer and highlight the severe impact of cancer on human productivity and, consequently, business productivity.

Prevention is better than cure.

Attend this event. Raise your awareness of testicular cancer. Then spread the information because you might save someone else’s life.

NOTE: We would love to stay in touch with everyone that attends one of our webinars. When you register, please do not use a "generic" email address like info@___ or hr@___ or sales@___ . The reason is that our email management system does not accept generic email addresses. You can of course use any email you'd like, the request is just for ease of staying in touch.

Here are a few ways in which cancer can affect human productivity and, consequently, business productivity:

Treatment and Recovery Time: Cancer treatments often require regular medical appointments, hospital visits, and recovery periods. This can result in employees taking time off work or needing to adjust their schedules, leading to potential disruptions in productivity and workflow.

Fatigue and Side Effects: Cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, can cause fatigue, nausea, pain, and other side effects. These physical symptoms can impact an individual's energy levels, concentration, and overall productivity.

Emotional and Psychological Impact: Dealing with a cancer diagnosis and undergoing treatment can be emotionally challenging. Anxiety, depression, and stress are common emotional responses, which can affect an individual's mental well-being and ability to focus on work tasks effectively.

Workplace Support and Accommodations: Individuals diagnosed with cancer may require workplace accommodations, such as flexible schedules, reduced workload, or modifications to their physical workspace. Providing supportive work environments and policies can help employees navigate their cancer journey while maintaining productivity.

Financial Impact: Cancer treatment can be costly, and individuals may face financial burdens as a result. Financial stress can have a significant impact on an individual's overall well-being and focus, potentially affecting their productivity and job performance.
