Benjamin Pope
Having studied and worked in horticulture for the last 22 years, Ben is currently head gardener of a private estate in West Sussex, where he leads a team maintaining and developing the garden, whilst growing fruit, vegetables and cut flowers for the house.
Ben enjoys teaching at the Chelsea Physic Garden for The English Gardening School and at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation, whilst regularly speaking for organisations and gardening clubs. He is a member of the RHS Herbaceous Committee, author of a new book, ‘What to Sow, Grow and Do’, and regularly writes for gardening publications. His newest project is the creation of a new market garden. Under the name ‘The Working Garden’, he hopes to grow produce and flowers sustainably alongside naturalistic plantings.
