Thunderstorm and hurricane seasons have arrived. The National Hurricane Center has increased the number of named storms considered an "average" season after they updated the 30-year data, just in time to forecast this as an "above-average" season.

Both the FAA and the NWS have updated their thunderstorm tools, making them easier for operators to interpret, and to use them to try and mitigate some delays. This News Hour will highlight the enhancements made and how you can best be prepared for hurricane and thunderstorm season.
