CEO of MSB School Services
Since second grade, Alicia Meisner has known she would work in education. With the influence of a remarkable teacher of her own, Alicia’s path to education was spurred by a need to assist other people. After spending several years teaching, including four years in an inclusion class which saw special education students mixed in the classroom, Alicia became frustrated with the industry she loved due to its persistent focus on standardized testing. However, instead of electing for a different industry, Alicia made her way to MSB as a program specialist where she realized she could have a much greater impact on the world of education than decades of teaching ever could. Now, Alicia strives to ensure that every person involved in education, stretching from students, to teachers, to administrators and all other employees in schooling, is appreciated. Alicia, equipped with a heart for assisting and a team-first mentality, will fully take the reins as Director of MSB School Services. In her new role, Alicia is determined to expand personal relationships and fluidity between MSB and all clients while expanding throughout the state and impacting lives every day. “What drew me out of education was the concept of having more impact on students and in school districts and wanting to impact school district employees… everything is for our school districts.”
