The "M" is STEM is about exploring why we need to teacher students real world math skills. We will look at how we can engage students and get them excited about math. We will discuss how we can engage students in mathematical discourse and how to incorporate real world math into our STEAM units.

Michelle Williams is a math TOSA at Val Verde Unified School District. I have always loved math and enjoyed teaching it at the elementary level for the past 17 years. I am excited to be learning and engaging in all levels of math in my new position as a K-12 Math TOSA. I enjoy being able to share how we can integrate math with other core subjects.
