CONFERENCE ENDED
Port climate resilience presents a major risk to physical supply chains – of growing concern to port professionals, BCOs and insurers alike. Yet it is an under-addressed and complex topic, with a lack of relevant strategic advice for port operators and very few replicable initiatives.

This webinar will bring award-winning insights from global thought leaders from the port sector, exploring which decision-making processes and technologies can effectively mitigate hazards resulting from climate change. Chloe Rowland, IAPH senior manager: Data Collaboration, Risk & Resilience, will be joined by a panel comprising representatives from IAPH member ports and Katherine Palmer, shipping lead for the UNFCCC Climate Change High-Level Champions.

How can ports integrate climate resilience not only into their sustainability strategy but also into their infrastructure expansion plans? How can the latest smart technologies identify infrastructure resilience gaps and shape successful maintenance planning?

Drawing on actionable real-world port solutions from IAPH members, this deep-dive session will also examine how the association’s Risk & Resilience committee’s dedicated Climate Resilience Working Group can further develop its tools and guidance on this critical topic.
