    Natalie Welsh
    Chair, NNNG and Lead Nutrition Specialist Nurse, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
    Natalie Welsh started her nursing career as a nursing auxiliary, and once qualified she worked on a colorectal surgical ward. A short spell as a prison nurse followed, then she began working for a homecare company as a community nutrition support nurse, where her passion for nutrition support was born. Following a secondment with the nutrition support & IFU team at St Marks in Harrow, Natalie returned to the NHS. Natalie was part of the team that achieved Tameside Hospital NHS trust moving out of special measures and then moved to take up her current post as a lead nutrition specialist nurse/matron at Manchester University Foundation NHS Trust. Natalie has been an NNNG committee member since 2017 and has held roles such as conference lead and vice chair. She moved into the role of Chair at the beginning of 2023; she is delighted to have this opportunity and looks forward to continuing to raise the profile of the Nurses voice in nutritional care.

Lisa is a skilled communicator and educator, with a passion to drive innovation in clinical practice and improve long-term health outcomes for patients reliant on nutritional support.

    Sharlene Haywood
    Lead Nutrition Clinical Nurse Specialist, Kingston & Richmond NHS FT
    Sharlene qualified as a nurse in 2001 and has worked in various specialities. She completed a BSc (Hons) in cancer care. Since 2011, she has been a Nutrition CNS. Her role has evolved, and she is currently the Lead Nutrition CNS.

    In 2023, she completed a Clinical Leadership MSc, joined the editorial board of the British Journal of Nursing Nutrition Supplements, and was a finalist for a Nursing Times Award. In March she was awarded Nutrition Nurse of the Year at the British Journal of Nursing Awards. Sharlene serves as Treasurer to the NNNG and collaborates with DRIPP for the NNNG.
