Mr Mike Hayton is a consultant orthopaedic hand and wrist surgeon at Wrightington Hospital, UK and the Apsetar Hospital, Qatar.

He has a special interest in sports injuries of the hand and wrist and receives regular referrals from professional sports teams and national sporting organisations in the UK and further afield.

He has over 10 years’ experience in wide awake local anaesthetic hand surgery using adrenaline (WALANT), and this has become particularly relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic with limited access to beds and anaesthetists.
