Professor Raja Badrakalimuthu
Associate Medical Director of Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Dr Raja Badrakalimuthu is a consultant old age psychiatrist and associate medical director at Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. His care home service was awarded RCPsych Annual Award for the best OA services last year. He completed masters in neuroscience and medical education. He is a published author and his fictional book A Way with the Fairies deals with an eight-year-old whose father is diagnosed with dementia. He is interested in service development and medical education having previously been involved in setting up liaison service and simulation training. His other interests include history of medicine.
Dr Richard Perry
Consultant Neurologist, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Dr Richard Perry is a Consultant Neurologist. His neurological training was conducted in London at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, St George's Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. His research has been conducted at the University of Cambridge and the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr Perry is currently a Consultant Neurologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and at Imperial College London. He is a Cognitive Neurologist with specialist experience in cognitive neurology, dementia, and acquired brain injury. Dr Perry runs memory clinics at Charing Cross Hospital and a clinical trails unit specialising in trials for disease modifying agents in the earliest stages of Alzheimer’s disease. The clinical service specialises in early diagnosis using fluid and imaging biomarkers as well as the management of younger persons with dementia
