Andrew Saunderson
Director of Investment, Grainger
Andrew is Investment Director at Grainger plc. Since joining Grainger in 2001 he has been instrumental in facilitating a number of large acquisitions of both assets and corporate entities.

In line with the group’s strategy to invest £850m into the Build to Rent sector, Andrew’s focus is now on managing the investment team, who are responsible for sourcing and acquiring these assets. Andrew also has overall responsibility for the sales and asset management divisions.

Andrew is a member of Grainger Executive Committee and is the groups representative on the BPF Residential Committee.

Clare Hebbes
Director of Development, London Legacy Development Corporation
Over the last 20 years, Clare has worked on some of the most significant urban regeneration schemes across London and Europe. With a passion for making cities better places to live, Clare spent 12 years working on the redevelopment of King’s Cross, from the initial masterplanning of the whole site through to the delivery of some of the first buildings and spaces. She joins LLDC as Director of Development from Lendlease where she led the Urban Realm team for four years, responsible for the design, management and activation of the public realm and the infrastructure across the portfolio including Elephant Park and International Quarter London.

Clare’s role at LLDC focuses on new Park neighbourhoods at Chobham Manor, East Wick and Sweetwater delivering c2,500 homes as well as the delivery of the Hackney Wick masterplan.

Nicholas Carman
Partnership Director (Moderator)
Nick joined Macdonald & Company in 2006, during this time he has led the Development team and Special Projects departments hiring key figures and managing large volume hires across central London development and investment communities. In his role as Partnership Director, he is responsible for innovating and challenging the ways in which the sector has managed recruitment in the past.

Pat Hayes
Managing Director, Be First
Pat Hayes was appointed Managing Director of Be First in August 2017. Previously he was Executive Director of Regeneration & Housing with Ealing Council during which time the borough became one of the most successful in London at attracting new developments and transforming public housing stock. Pat was responsible for bringing forward the Southall Waterside development with the Berkeley Group, South Acton Estate with Countryside Properties and the delivery of Ealing Film Works with St George. He oversaw the evolution of the council’s housing company Broadway Living as a major build to rent developer.
