COVID-19 has had a profound effect on grindings and semi-finished products.

This, coupled with USD weakness and a shifting macroeconomic environment, has seen high levels of volatility within the cocoa market in recent months.

As the Living Income Differential goes into effect in West Africa from 1 October, two companies with industry connections and pricing knowledge are here to share recent movements and explain some of the more complex issues of cocoa pricing in the physical markets.

Join this webinar to gain:
  • An understanding of the current market fundamentals in bean and semi-finished products, including pricing information held by Mintec and McKeany Flavell.
  • Updates on the upcoming presidential election in Cote d’Ivoire and expectations for new crop and Q3 grindings.
  • An explanation of cocoa ratios and producer pricing methodology, and how COVID-19 has created a divergence in price trends, with powder rising and butter falling.
  • Detail surrounding the implementation of the LID.
